Chapter 12
This chapter we're going to teach you how to construct figures, what mid-parallel, angle bisector and perpendicular bisector is and how to calculate altitude. Below are again some exercises to see how much you already know!
1.
a. Draw two points D and E which are 6 cm apart.
b. Draw the circle with centre D and a radius of 4 cm.
c. Also draw the circle with centre E and a radius of 4 cm.
d. Label the points of intersection of the two circles F and G and draw the quadrilateral DFEG.
e. Why is quadrilateral DFEG a rhombus?
2. In the parallelogram KLMN, angle K = 68o, KL = 6 cm and KN = 4 cm.
a. Draw parallelogram KLMN.
b. Which angle is the same size as angle K?
